As a portal grows, navigation has to grow carefully.
Cyber Detective Portal 2 already had an All PCs view for the selected fleet.
But as more PC-level inventory views were added, a single top-level link was no longer enough.
So we changed All PCs into a small grouped menu.
What changed
The All PCs menu now holds related fleet endpoint views together.
Instead of treating every new PC report as a separate top navigation item, the portal can keep them under one familiar place.
That makes room for views such as:
- the full PC list
- fleet software inventory
- A9X software versions
The goal is simple: if the question starts with “which PCs...”, it should be easy to find from All PCs.
Why it matters
Support teams often switch between views during a single investigation.
They may start with a vessel, then jump to all PCs, then check software, then compare A9X component versions.
Keeping these reports grouped reduces the number of places someone has to remember.
Bottom line
All PCs is now a better home for fleet-wide endpoint inventory.
It keeps the top navigation tidy while making the PC-level tools easier to discover.
