CyberDetective Portal has several new and improved features for July and August 2026.
The focus in this update is practical fleet visibility: clearer Windows version reporting, better upgrade guidance, cleaner audit views, improved scripting workflows, and more useful Defender and operational status reporting.
Windows Version and Upgrade Guidance
- Added a new Windows Versions report to help teams quickly understand which devices need attention.
- The report now groups computers by Windows release, build, support status, and recommended upgrade path.
- Upgrade guidance now explains whether a device needs a feature update, ISO upgrade, enablement package, staged upgrade, or rebuild/reimage assessment.
- Older Windows 10 releases are now handled more carefully, including staged upgrade guidance where direct Windows 11 upgrade is not appropriate.
- Enablement KBs are now shown where they are applicable, making it clearer when a smaller update path may be available instead of a full ISO upgrade.
- Next required Windows update KBs are labelled more clearly and may include the release month where available.
- Added a downloadable Windows Versions PDF report for offline review, audit packs, and customer reporting.
Security Audit Improvements
- Improved Windows lifecycle checks so supported and unsupported operating systems are reported more accurately.
- The Security Audit view now shows Windows release information more clearly instead of relying only on build numbers.
- Unsupported operating system counts are easier to review across active and inactive computers.
Cleaner Fleet and Computer Views
- Improved computer tables to make Windows update status easier to understand.
- Renamed confusing "Missing KB" wording to "Next Update KB" where the value means the next update CyberDetective believes the computer needs.
- Removed noisy vulnerability counts from summary tables where they made the view harder to scan.
- Improved dark mode styling and table readability across reporting views.
Scripting Workspace
- Added a new central scripting view for managing and reviewing scripts more efficiently.
- Improved the script editor layout, including a larger workspace and cleaner script history views.
- Improved script result handling so operational output is easier to review.
Defender and Operational Visibility
- Added Defender activity reporting to give better visibility of endpoint protection status across vessels and computers.
- Improved fleet status views with clearer active and inactive computer counts.
- Improved navigation, breadcrumbs, filters, and collapsed controls to make large fleets easier to work with day to day.
Bottom line
This release makes CyberDetective Portal easier to use for daily fleet review, Windows upgrade planning, customer reporting, and vessel endpoint operations.
